Easy Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Serves 1-2
Preparation time: 5-10

Ingredients:
8-10 frozen or fresh strawberries
1 whole banana
1 handful of oatmeal
1 blender or food processor
As much sugar, milk, and half and half as you like :)

Slice strawberries in any size. (For the smoothie in the picture, I used frozen strawberries so I did not cut them at all). Add 1 cube of ice if using fresh strawberries. Peel and slice the banana.

Add the sliced strawberries and bananas to the food processor or blender.

Now’s the time to add my secret ingredient that is not so secret anymore: Oatmeal! Add a small handful of oatmeal. Oatmeal makes a great substitute for protein powder making the smoothie kid friendly while still packing in protein. Please note that oatmeal does not have as much protein as protein powder.
Add as much sugar as you would like to your smoothie. Remember you can always add more sugar but you can’t take sugar out of the smoothie.

Add milk (and half and half - optional) as you like. Remember you can always add milk and half and half to the smoothie but you can’t take milk out.

Blend until smooth

Wait!
Do not pour your smoothie into a cup just yet.
Taste your smoothie. Add sugar as needed. Also check smoothie for desired consistency. If you need it creamier add more half and half. If you it's too creamy for your taste; add milk and blend again.
After the smoothie fits your tastes, pour it into a cup and enjoy! :)
